About PM SHRI KV KPA Ramavarmapuram, Thrissur

As a second gift from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to the cultural capital of Kerala, PM SHRI KV KPA, Ramavarmapuram had started on 30th August 2010. This school is under the Ernakulam Region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It currently has a strength of 815 students (as on 06/05/2024) with classes from I to XII. This Vidyalaya primarily caters to the educational needs of the wards of Central Government Employees/State Government Employees including Kerala Police Academy Employees.
The Vidyalaya was inaugurated by Shri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Home Affairs, Govt. of Kerala on 30th August 2010 in the presence of Revenue Minister Shri. K.P. Rajendran, Education Officer of Chennai Region, Smt. Usha Rani, Chairman, Mr. Jose George IPS, DIG of Police. Dr. S. Nalayani, Principal K.V. Thrissur, Shri. Alexander Jacob IPS, IG and the former DIG of KEPA, Shri Therambil Ramakrishnan MLA, Shri. A.T. James IAS, Dist. Collector were among other dignitaries present. The Kerala Police had sponsored a temporary building with necessary facilities like class rooms, computer lab, ground for P.T.etc. in the KEPA premises.
The Vidyalaya shifted to the new building in the campus near Pallimoola junction by the commencement of the academic year 2022-23. The same year Balavatika also started for three classes as per National Educational Policy 2020 for children of the age group of 3 years to 6 years. This school offers science stream for classes XI & XII with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND ENGLISH CORE as common subjects and Mathematics/Hindi and Biology/Computer Science as optional subjects. Five batches of Class XII and seven batches of Class X have passed out with quality results from the school
